Understand the business before you form an opinion.
BullsEatBears publishes free Owner's Reports: plain-English explanations of how a company makes money, the strongest case for and against it, and the evidence that would change our minds.
What an Owner's Report is
Each report answers one question about one company. It explains what the business does, how it makes money, and how it has been performing, then sets out the bull case and the bear case side by side. Neither side is hidden, and we do not tell you which one wins.
Every report ends with what we are watching and the specific evidence that would weaken each side. A thesis you cannot disprove is not research.
How a report is made
- An editor chooses a company and a question, usually around a real event such as an earnings release.
- Software collects primary sources, mainly SEC filings and company investor-relations material, and computes the numbers with written formulas. Missing data is marked unknown, never guessed.
- An AI model drafts arguments for both sides. It may only cite facts that were collected in step 2.
- A person reviews the draft, checks the evidence, and approves, holds, or rejects it with a written reason.
- A person approves publication. Every published version is kept, so you can see what changed.
What AI does and does not do
AI does the grunt work: gathering, organizing, and drafting. It does not calculate financial figures, choose which side is right, or decide what gets published. People make every decision that matters, and those decisions are recorded.
What the labels mean
- Early: a first look; important evidence is still missing.
- Developing: the main debate is mapped, and some questions are open.
- Established: the evidence base is broad and has been revisited.
- Stale: the data is more than 180 days old. Check newer filings.
